Richard Lichter
Vice Chairman



Mr. Lichter is the Vice Chairman of Newbury and is responsible for managing its investment activity. Mr. Lichter has been a senior investment professional in twelve secondary funds and has been responsible for over 150 secondary transactions. Prior to founding Newbury, Mr. Lichter was Managing Director and Head of Secondary Investments at Auda Private Equity LLC, where he led the sourcing and investment of Auda Secondary Fund. Previously, Mr. Lichter was a Managing Director at Lexington Partners since that firm's inception in 1995, where he was primarily engaged in transaction origination and valuation of secondary purchases of buyout and mezzanine partnership interests. Mr. Lichter was also responsible for secondary purchases from Japanese institutions. Beginning in 1993, Mr. Lichter was a Managing Director at Landmark Partners and, prior to that, he held the position of Vice President in investment banking at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets. Mr. Lichter graduated with an MBA from M.I.T., Sloan School of Management and received an AB from Dartmouth College with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
